Receptor Kombat
RECEPTOR KOMBAT
11 proteins. One membrane. No mercy.
A silly Mortal Kombat-style fighting game where GPCRs (and a few of their friends) fight it out. It exists purely to entertain, and it's full of pharmacology puns.
Pick your fighter: D2R, MOR, GIPR, GLP-1R, CB1, Rhodopsin, 5-HT2A or H1, or the non-receptors crashing the party: β-arrestin 1, β-arrestin 2 and Gαs. Each one has four special moves, a super and a fatality. Throw dopamine bolts, internalize your enemies with clathrin cages, or finish them with an Anaphylactic Sneeze.
Modes: 1 player, 2 players (same keyboard), Story, Arcade and Training
Controls: press ESC in the game for the full move list
Scientifically inaccurate in the most accurate way possible.

Made with a lot of help from Claude (AI) for the code, pixel art and sounds. The idea, characters, moves and GPCR science jokes come from a group of people far too interested in membrane receptors
